my grandmother was the greatest woman who ever lived. I truly will miss the way she smiled and laughed. She always told me i could always do more with my life and she was right. I will always miss her stories and how she made me feel like i was special. I just wanted to say that, as if you all didn't know. she has and will always have a place in my heart and when my children grow up and are old enough to understand i will tell them how there great grandma was a true blessing while she was here on earth and how she smiles down on them everyday. She will always be remembered as Aunt LaDelle to me. The petite, loving, lady, who was known for her coffee, ruby red lipstick, and most of all her heartfelt contagious laugh. Some of my fondest memories are of her when we would have family events and the topic of conversation between my Grandmother (Mignon) and her would turn to cloudy diamonds. We enjoyed our years living across from Ladell at Creekview condos. She happily and conscientiously picked up our mail and newspapers when we were gone. She wanted to make sure she didn't disturb us with any noises she might make, especially at night, but we always reassured her we never did--she was, of course, a quiet, considerate neighbor. I worked with your mother at Sealed Power. She was such a hoot! I was about 20 years younger than she, but she treated me like an equal. She was an extremely hard worker and a great mentor. Very confident and delightful woman. The last time I saw her (about 1 1/2 years ago) she was at Plumb's on Sherman. She told me she had moved to a condo and we chatted about mutual friends. She was always proud of her children (especially her grandchildren) and had the greatest laugh. Even though I didn't have an on-going relationship with her I will treasure the time I knew her and the great memories she created.
