Lance A. Wittkopp's Obituary
SGM Lance A. Wittkopp, age 76, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024. He was born October 25, 1947, in Muskegon to Albert and Dolly (Snowfleet) Wittkopp. Lance graduated from Muskegon High School and served his country in the United States Army Reserve for 41 years. He was a member of the Vikings, the Lakeside Vets, and was a proud member of the NRA. Lance enjoyed cooking, camping, and guns. He was a car enthusiast and a collector of almost anything. On August 25, 1990, he married Linda M. Buchan in Muskegon and she survives him along with two children: Kacey Dekker and Lena Wittkopp both of Muskegon; three grandchildren: Mariah, Hannah, and Jacob; two great-grandchildren: Gracyn and Golden; brother, Connell (Anne) Wittkopp of Ohio; many nieces and nephews; and a cousin, Nancy Wittkopp. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services for Lance will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 22, 2024 at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441 (231) 759-8565. Visitation with the family will be from 2-4 PM on Sunday, April 21, 2024. Burial will take place in Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Muskegon Rescue Mission.
