Mr. Larry A. Chandler's Obituary
Mr. Larry Chandler, 69, passed away Monday, December 16, 2013, at his home. Born May 9, 1944 to James and Olive (Hamilton) Chandler, he was a life resident of Muskegon. Larry served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He had been employed as a tool and die maker at Sealed Power Co. before illness forced his retirement. He also operated Larry’s Upholstery for many years, making custom interiors for classic cars, and attended many classic car events. Larry was a Golden Member of the Fruitport Eagles. He married the former Sherry Moses on August 15, 1975, and she survives him along with his children: Tonya (Josh) Bisson and Larry (Jessica) Chandler; four grandsons: Patrick and Chandler Bisson, Carter and Caleb Chandler; brothers: Wally (Barb) and Jim (Glenna) Chandler; sisters: Lana (Tom) Williams, Flora (John) Pastonik, June Beasley and Rhonda Messenger; and his faithful four-legged friend Star. His parents, a brother George, and a sister Ardith Fagen preceded him in death. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held for Larry at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, December 22, 2013 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444, phone 231-798-1100, where VISITATION will be from 12 Noon to 1 P.M. Sunday.
