Larry Deal's Obituary
Mr. Larry Deal, age 69, of Ferrysburg, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 1, 2021 at home. He was born July 6, 1952 in Grand Haven to Earl and Inez (Waldron) Deal. On April 17, 1971 he married Beverly VanderZwaag and she preceded him in death on February 13, 2015.
Larry served his county in the US Navy for 8 years and retired in 2014 from Camp Blodgett. He was a member of Harvest Bible Chapel and was a small group member. Larry also enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, kayaking and loved to garden. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by two sons, Larry, Jr. (Melissa) Deal, of Ravenna, Jason (Christy) Deal of Spring Lake; two loving grandchildren, Carson James Deal and Stefanie Deal-Beckley; sisters, Charlene Robinson, and Sheila Koster; brother, John Deal; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Inez; brothers, Gordon Green, Harold Green, and Richard Deal; sisters, Marilyn Anderson, and Cheryl Wildey; and sister-in-law, Robbin VanderZwaag; brother-in-law, David Koster.
Due to COVID 19 a memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will take place in Lakeshore Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Larry may be given to Hospice of North Ottawa Community. Please sign the family’s online guestbook at http://www.sytsemafh.com.
