Larry E. Gardner's Obituary
Larry E. Gardner, age 69, passed away in Holland, MI on July 30, 2019. He was born on April 19, 1950 James and Marilyn (Green) Gardner in Detroit, MI. Larry was a veteran of the US Army during Vietnam. He was a member and deacon at Antioch Baptist Church. Larry was owner and operator of Great Lakes Removal Services for the last 7 years. Larry enjoyed movies, being outdoors, cooking, casino trips and truly enjoyed being around other people. In June of 1990 he married Tina Hunter and she survives him along with 2 daughters, Lundon Gardner and Ivonne McCollum; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers, James Gardner and Kenny Gardner; sisters, Cynthia Gardner, Markitha Gardner and Tammy Gardner; mother-in-law, Betty Jo Hunter, special cousins, Renata Robinson, goddaughter, Arrie Hendricks and a host of special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; adopted parents, Vernon (Mary) Allen; step-mother, Annie Gardner; father-in-law, Rev. Roosevelt Hunter, two brothers and two sisters. A FUNERAL SERVICE for Larry will take place 12noon Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Friendship Baptist Church (2428 Ray St., Muskegon Heights) with Pastor Charles Hildreth officiating. VISITATION with Larry’s family will be 2PM - 6PM on Tuesday, August 6th at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., 231-726-5210.
