Mr. Larry Russell Hazekamp's Obituary
Larry R. Hazekamp, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at his home. He was born on August 8, 1943 to Russell and Leona (VanPelt) Hazekamp in Muskegon. Larry was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Larry was a lifelong pattern maker retiring from Herman Miller. He loved woodworking, deer hunting and watching Wolf Lake off of his deck. On June 23, 1967, Larry married the former Madelynn Joy Wayer who survives him and will be celebrating their 50th year of marriage this year. He was a loving father survived by his children, Scott (Lisa) Hazekamp, Joy Hazekamp; grandchildren, Scott Jr. and Gavin; brothers, Richard (Diane) Hazekamp, Bruce (Linda) Hazekamp; sister, Judy (Fran) Mangine; brother-in-law, Ronald (Barbara) Wayer; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and parents-in-law, Albert and Vivian Wayer. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Larry will take place on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Shiloh Tabernacle Fellowship Church (460 E. Tyler Rd.) at 1:00 PM with Pastor Verne Wright presiding. VISITATION with the family will take place an hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements entrusted to The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231-798-1100).
