Larry W. Pearce Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Larry W. Pearce Sr., age 66, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 at his home. Larry was born November 1, 1949 to Merle and Jackie (Nulf) Pearce in Punxsutawney, PA. On November 9, 1968 he married the former Marcia Kuipers, who was his sweetheart since they were 15 years old. He was employed as a tool and die maker at Standard Automotive for 30 years and then at CWC Textron for 7 years prior to retirement. Larry was involved with Goodwillies Bowling League, was past president of the Muskegon Bowling Association, was a member of the Wednesday Night Bowling League, and a member of VFW Post 7729 and belonged to “The Ranch” Hunting Club. He enjoyed hunting, golfing and poker games with his family. Larry will be greatly missed by Marcia, his wife of 47 years; his children Larry W. (Cheryl) Pearce Jr. and Dawn (Shawn) Baird; grandchildren, Matthew (Alicia) Baird, Hadley and Addison Pearce; great-grandson Kayden Baird; brothers, Daniel (Lois), Patrick, Randy, Bruce (Judy) Pearce; several nieces and nephews; his golf buddy, Chuck Warren; and his best friends since childhood, Dover Singleton Sr., Allen DeGroot and the late, David Schimke. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Merle “Butch” Pearce. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave. 231 726-5210 with Pastor John Brown officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday. MEMORIALS may be made to the American Cancer Society.
