Larry C. Robinson Sr's Obituary
Mr. Larry C. Robinson Sr, age 77, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 17, 2023. He was born on October 26, 1945 in Muskegon. Larry married Cynthia S. VanderMolen on December 18, 1965 in Grand Haven and spent 57 wonderful years together. Larry was a truck driver since 1990. He loved his work and places it took him that he continued driving truck until his passing. He enjoyed camping with his family and friends. They spent many weekends at Pines Point Campground tubing down the river and sitting by the campfire. Larry also liked to build plastic models, watch NASCAR and cook. He was well-known for his famous apple crisp and delicious BBQ’s. Larry may have also been known to enjoy creating his own firework show, without any concern for his own, and on occasion, others’ wellbeing. Larry will always be remembered by his wife, Cynthia; children, Ginger Ann and Larry Jr (Heather); grandchildren, Desiree (Kevin) Whittaker, Brittney (Drew) Weavers, Cody Zmarly, Nathan Zmarley, Dakota (Shelby) Robinson, and Nicole Robinson (fiancé Zach Patitucci); great-grandchildren, Blake, Noah, Riley, Berkley, Dax, and Jae Lynn, with one more on the way; sister, Debra (Rick) Schaaf; and four half-brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Shirley (Bates) Robinson; father, Ralph Stevens; and sister, Pam. A Memorial Gathering with light refreshments will be held from 2:00 – 4:00PM on Saturday, June 24 at The Lee Chapel Family Center of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S.
