Larry T. Sherman's Obituary
Larry T. Sherman of Twin Lakes, Michigan, passed away, on April 4, 2026, after losing his battle with cancer. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, October the 16th, 1936, to the late Leslie A. Sherman and Flora Osborne Sherman of Elkhart, Indiana. Survivors include a brother Jeffrey, a sister Susan a son Jay, nieces Kathryn Leslie Gross, and Margaret Sherman Javor, a nephew, Todd Dolan, and two great nieces and two great nephews.
Larry graduated from Elkhart High School in 1954, and played in the EHS Marching Band and the EHS Symphonic Orchestra. He graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and traveled in their marching band to the Rose Bowl in 1956.
Larry served in the U. S. Army in the NSA and was stationed in Japan during the Cold War.
Before joining General Motors in their IT Department, he designed electric motors for Reliance Electric in Columbus, Indiana. His later years were spent in the Aerospace industry as a Systems Analyst at Homet Corporation.
He was a member of the Mid-Michigan Mensa and was a friend and supporter of the Monroe Institute in Virginia.
His hobbies were restoring and selling vintage radios and stereo amplifiers.
