Larry Lee Swarts Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Larry Lee Swarts, Sr., age 72, passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. He was born in Muskegon on April 14, 1946 to Jack and Virginia (Ferguson) Swarts. Larry had been employed by Sealed Power for 40 years prior to his retirement in 2000. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. Most importantly, Larry enjoyed spending time with his family and especially cherished time spent with his grandsons. On January 21, 1967, Larry married the former Helen K. Weaver in Muskegon and she survives him along with their children, Larry (Mary) Swarts, Jr. and Tracey (John) Lysiak; four grandsons, Zachary (Breanne) Swarts, Drew Swarts, Jake Lysiak, and Travis Lysiak; four brothers, Jack (Geraldine) Swarts, Jr., Paul (Pam) Swarts, Richard Swarts, and James (Brad Boyink) Swarts; two sisters, Claudia (John) Nelski and Nancy (Jim) Andrews; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lynda Veihl. VISITATION will be from 2-5 PM Sunday, March 3, 2019 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., 231-726-5210. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 4, 2019 at The Sytsema Chapel. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIALS in Larry’s memory may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
