Larry Edward Veihl's Obituary
Larry Edward Veihl, age 62, passed away very unexpectedly at Trinity Health – Muskegon Hospital on Friday, March 27, 2026. He was born August 4, 1963 in Muskegon, MI to Larry and Marie (Evans) Veihl and was a lifelong resident of the area. Larry had attended Grand Valley State University and had worked 25 years as a Truck Driver for Yellow Freight Trucking Company before his retirement in 2024. He was a very hard-working man that enjoyed a simple life. They liked traveling to and in Upper Michigan, he enjoyed nature and loved to spend time out in the backyard, feeding the deer and the other animals. On June 12, 1998, he married Kimberly Ann Slorf in Muskegon and she survives him, along with his daughter, Jennifer (Kole Spier) Steffens; 2 grandchildren, Gavin Steffens, Remi Jean Spier; 1 brother, David (Andrea) Veihl; 2 sisters, Tammi (Mike) Dobb, Christine (John) Cavalier; his father-in-law, Lawrence (Joan Wiseman) Slorf; 1 brother-in-law, Kenneth (Marlene) Slorf; and 2 sisters-in-law, Debra Stafford, Lisa (Steve) Woodland; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Marie Veihl; his mother-in-law, Jean Slorf; his brother-in-law, Timothy Stafford; and his 2nd mother, Linda Herbert.
