Larry Edward Veihl Sr.'s Obituary
Larry Edward Veihl Sr, Age 79, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, February 21, 2020. He was born on August 15, 1940. His parents were Christopher and Marie Veihl. He married Marie Evans on June 27, 1960, which this year would have marked their 60th wedding anniversary. Larry graduated from Muskegon High school in 1959 and was a true Big Red through and through. He was always active in his children's events while they were growing up, then his grand children's and then his great grand children's events. He served in the United States Army National Guard. He loved God and loved his church. He enjoyed singing in the Cosmops (Cosmopolitan's) and loved spending time watching the Detroit Tigers with the love of his life, his wife Marie. Survivors include his wife Marie Veihl, 1 brother Robert (Linda) Veihl, 2 sons Larry Jr (Kim) Veihl, David (Andrea) Veihl, 2 Daughters Tammi (Mike) Dobb, Christine (John) Cavalier, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Shirley Lopez and sister-in-law Lynda Veihl. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 28, 2020, at 11:00 am at Connection Point Church, 2270 S. Mill Iron Rd Muskegon, 49442 with Pastor Aaron Gregory officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the funeral at 10:00 am at the church. There will be a luncheon following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Connection Point Church "Bridge the Gap" fund or the Muskegon Cosmopolitan Male Singers "Cosmops" at www.muskegoncosmops.com.
