Larry Allan Eaton's Obituary
Mr. Larry Allan Eaton, age 57, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008. He was born on November 4, 1950 to Louis A. and Joyce E. (Pierce) Eaton in Grand Rapids, MI. Larry served his country as a helicopter pilot in Viet Nam and continued his career in aviation, retiring from the U.S. Army Air Corp in 1991. Larry continued flying after the military, flying for oil companies and later as a flight instructor. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 8846, the Muskegon Muscle Car Club, NHRA and IHRA drag racing clubs. Larry married the former Cheryl Colbert in Muskegon on October 7, 2000. He is survived by wife, Cheryl; three daughters, Melissa (Mitchell) Dykstra of Pittsburgh, PA, Jenny Eaton of Davison, MI and Dawn Sheri´ Eaton of Alabama; grandson, Charles Dykstra; brothers, Ronald (Maryann) Eaton and Timothy (partner, Doug) Eaton; half brother, Paul (Rita) Evaloch and sisters, Betty (Larry) Linghome and Tracy Eaton. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Lois Eaton; half brother, Chuck Evaloch; and an infant daughter, Grace. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at The Lee Chapel on Thursday, 10:00 A.M., Rev. Dr. Stan Mast officiating. Military Rites under the auspices of V.F.W. Post 8846 will be held directly following the funeral service. Visitation: Wednesday evening 6-8 P.M. at The Lee Chapel. He will be laid to rest in the Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI.
