Larry Allan Yonker's Obituary
Larry Allan Yonker, age 64, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, November 4, 2011. He was born February 16, 1947 in Muskegon, the child of Steve and Edna (Osterkamp) Yonker. Larry was a 1965 graduate of Muskegon High School. He was in the Army and was stationed in Germany during Vietnam. Larry had retired, having worked for Bennett Pump, Fuel Systems, LLC, and Lakeshore Office Furniture. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, loved to golf, and enjoyed hunting with Mike and David. But most of all, he loved his family. On September 9, 1967 he married the former Judy E. Steffens in Muskegon and she survives him along with their daughter, Stacey (Todd) DeLore of Grand Rapids; 2 granddaughters, Riley and ShayLi; 2 sisters, “Dolly” (Dr. John) Wallace of Muskegon, Linda (Jim) Francisco of Fountain, MI; sister-in-law, Gail (Mike) Whittaker of Norton Shores; nephew, David (Andrea) Whittaker; niece, Patricia “Trish” Whittaker, and their families. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, November 10, 2011 at St. Mark Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Gilson officiating. Burial will take place in Norton Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 and one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association.
