Mrs. Laura B. Bunnell's Obituary
Mrs. Laura B. “Betty” Bunnell, age 90, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 at her home. She was born January 26, 1927 to Aaron and Bertha (McClish) Burkett in Pontiac, Michigan. On September 27, 1946, Betty married Glenn Bunnell in Muskegon and he preceded her in death in 1991. She enjoyed reading romance novels, cheering on the Detroit Tigers, and watching her favorite game shows. Spending time with her family meant everything to Betty, especially seeing her great-great-grandson, Paxton. Betty will be missed by her children, Edna (Richard) Cross, Robert Bunnell and Carl “Ted” Bunnell; grandchildren, Mary (Brian) Reens and Tom (Yolanda) Narlock; great-grandchildren, Ashley (Marc) Vandyken, Robert (Taylor) Reens, and Brian Reens, Jr.; and great-great-grandson, Paxton. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Bertha; daughters, Norma Bunnell and Carol Petersen; brothers, Wesley and Eugene; and sisters, Ellen, Florence, Essie, and Shirley. A Funeral Service will be Friday, January 26 at 11 AM at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave. (231) 726-5210 with Pastor John Brown officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service from 10-11 AM. Burial will take place in West Hesperia Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Betty’s name may be made to Harbor Hospice Foundation. The family would like to thank Harbor Hospice for all the great care which was given to Betty.
