Laurell "Lee" Frees' Obituary
Mr. Laurell “Lee” Frees, age 83, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017 in Muskegon. He was born February 16, 1934 in Ferry, Michigan to Gerald and Yvonne (Wiswell) Frees. On August 2, 1952, he married his beloved wife, Shirley A. Gorenflo. She survives him along with his son, Laurell “Rocky” (Bernadine) Frees, Jr.; grandson, John (Mary) Frees; granddaughter, Holly Frees; two great-granddaughters, Mary Lynn and Emily Frees; sister, Delores Simmerman; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Alfred and Ronald Frees. Lee’s life passions were Michigan State sports, golf, snowmobiling and trail bike riding, but mostly working with cars. He owned Lee’s Collision and the new Robin Hood Muffler shop of Muskegon. He and his wife enjoyed many years with the Muskegon County Antique Auto Club and the “Dalton Gang” of Dalton, Michigan where they had many good friends. There will be a time of FOOD and VISITATION Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 3-5 PM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231-798-1100).
