Laurence "Larry" Flora's Obituary
Mr. Laurence G. “Larry” Flora, age 74, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, February 13, 2025. He was born in Muskegon on February 14, 1950 to John and Genevieve (Perri) Flora Jr. and was proud of his Italian heritage. Larry graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central in 1968 and continued his education at Aquinas College where he received his bachelor’s degree. On June 3, 1972, Larry married the former Peggy Marie Pasco and they enjoyed 52 years of marriage. Larry was dedicated throughout his career in sales and accounting at local Muskegon businesses including CWC Textron and Al Perri Furniture. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Muskegon Vikings. Larry formed lasting bonds with his two lifelong friends, Bill Karis and John Pronick. He was an avid runner, completing several marathons, and enjoyed fishing on Lake Michigan and Muskegon Lake. Larry was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed following his family into the world of theatre. Most importantly, Larry loved his family deeply and especially enjoyed supporting his children and grandchildren in their many activities. He is survived by his wife, Peggy; two sons, Matthew (Deanna) Flora and Zachary (Elizabeth) Flora; grandchildren, Jayden, Anyahna, Adelina, and Harrison; sister, Gloria Linn; sisters-in-law, Nancy (Larry) Dorato, Ruth Pasco, and Barb Pasco; brother-in-law, Dick Pasco; many beloved cousins, close friends, and his dog, Misty. He was preceded in death by his parents; John and Jenny Flora Jr.; parents-in-law, Richard and Bette Pasco; brothers-in-law, Tom Pasco and Don Pasco; sister-in-law, Jonny Pasco; nieces, Molly Pasco and Kelly Pasco; and great nephews, Clay Langlois and Jake Linn. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 1, 2025 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church - Marian Chapel (2929 McCracken St., Norton Shores, MI 49441) with Fr. Steve Geerling presiding. VISITATION with Larry’s family will be one hour prior to his service. Arrangements by The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W.
