Laurence Robertson's Obituary
Mr. Laurence “Larry” Robertson, age 84, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon on November 1, 1933. Larry was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He had worked at Bennett Pump for 37 ½ years, retiring as Plant Manager in 1990. Larry celebrated life in many ways. One of his favorite things to do was restore and collect antique gas pumps. Larry always had a kind word for everyone he met. He has left a large footprint on this earth and in the hearts of many who aspire to be like him in kindness and generosity. On November 30, 1990, Larry married the former Ruth Hill and she survives him along with children, Terry (Sara) Robertson, Karen (Al) Engle, Jill (John) Kennedy, Greg Robertson, Melissa (Kirk) VanderMolen, Mary King, Jamie (Brian) Spencer, Chris Wynne; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Penny Hermansader and Rosemary (Pete) Anderson; several nieces and nephews and his sidekick and brother-in-law, Jim Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents, Laurence Crotteau, Joseph Robertson and Ila Robertson. A CELEBRATION OF LARRY’S LIFE will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 12, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Rev. John Brown officiating. VISITATION will be from 1-2 PM Friday. MEMORIALS in Larry’s memory may be directed to Pound Buddies or NOAH Project.
