Lauretta B. Epplett's Obituary
Mrs. Lauretta Betty Epplett, age 89, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Riverside Nursing Home in Grand Haven. She was born July 12, 1921 in Muskegon to Carl R. and EverDena (Borgerding) Peterson. On October 28, 1944, she married Calvin H. Epplett in Muskegon and he survives her. She was a lifetime member of Covenant Community Church in Muskegon Heights. SURVIVORS include her husband, Calvin; 1 daughter, Denise (David) Johnson of Grand Haven; 6 grandchildren, Shannon (Tanya), Breanna, Blair, Christopher, Courtney, Nicole; 1 sister, Mary Bartels of Muskegon. She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Epplett; her parents; and 1 sister, Donna Manthey. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 4:00 PM Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey Street, (231) 798-1100, with Pastor Mark Bush officiating. VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the service, 3-4 PM Wednesday. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to Hospice of North Ottawa County or Covenant Community Church.
