Laurie Anne Hendrick's Obituary
Laurie Anne Hendrick, 52, Ann Arbor resident for 30 years and formerly of Grand Haven, passed peacefully on Sunday the 17th of January, 2010. She was born in Alpena, Michigan, on April 2, 1957, to Russell and Laurel (McPherson) Hendrick. Laurie graduated from the University of Michigan and was employed by the University of Michigan Hospital in the MCIT Dept. She attended services at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Laurie had a life- long passion for music and was an accomplished pianist.
She is survived by mother Laurel (McPherson) Hendrick and father Russell Hendrick of Grand Haven, Michigan. Also surviving her is her one brother, Thomas Hendrick of Bedford, MI; a niece, Kaylee; three nephews: Drew, Mitch and Danny; fiancé David Karl of Ann Arbor, MI; uncles Cleive (Maxine) Hendrick of Muskegon, MI, and William D. Hendrick in Oceanside, CA; aunt Marilyn (Jim) Reeser in Niceville, FL; and numerous cousins and friends.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2010, at First Presbyterian Church in Grand Haven, 508 Franklin Avenue, Grand Haven, MI 49417, with Reverend Karin C. Fowler officiating. Interment will be in Lakeshore Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to either St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor, the Poppen Residence of Harbor Hospice in Muskegon, Michigan or the American Cancer Society. Share memories with the family at their online guest book at www.vbkfuneralhome.com.
