LaWanda P. Schrebe's Obituary
Mrs. LaWanda Pauline Schrebe, age 94, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 22, 2021 with her family by her side. She was born on July 29, 1927 to Aaron and Paula (Roth) Gibbs in Muskegon. A lifelong resident of the area, Wanda married Arnold Schrebe in June of 1948 and they shared 72 wonderful years together until he passed away on August 27, 2019. Wanda and Arnold were members of Seventh-day Adventist Church where Wanda made the weekly church bulletins for 10 years and played the organ at worship services for over 20 years. Wanda was also gifted with a “craft mind” and was a talented quilter, scrapbooker and card maker. Wanda is survived by her children, Terry (Angie) Schrebe and Dave Schrebe; granddaughters, Dawn (Todd) Harman, Tami (Joe) Montney, Kerri (Bob) Pranger, Heather Schrebe and Jessi Schrebe; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Eunice Peterson and Beulah Peterson. She was preceded in death by her son, Grant “Gene” Schrebe, and brother, Owen Gibbs. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 26 at 1:30 PM with Pastor Larry Kirkpatrick officiating at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441, 231-759-8565. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, August 25 from 2-4PM.
