Lawrence Bruce Heidelberg's Obituary
Larry Heidelberg, age 76, passed away in Muskegon, MI, on Friday, June 2, 2023. Larry was born in Aurora, IL, to Harold and Lorraine (Anderson) Heidelberg on January 3, 1947. He attended Batavia High School, where he played basketball, football, and baseball. He graduated in the class of 1965, and on August 24, 1968, he married his high school sweetheart Peggy Bleck, spending 54 wonderful years together. Larry worked as a general contractor for many years, retiring in 2016. Larry loved listening to music, was a longtime Chicago Cubs fan, and greatly enjoyed sailing and racing on his uncle’s boat. He was very proud of all his children and grandchildren and loved watching them participate in their sporting events and performances over the years. Larry will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Peggy Heidelberg; three children: Jenny (Jeff) Lindell, Vikki Heidelberg, and Keith (Ashley) Heidelberg; six grandchildren: Brady, Tyler, Natalee, Halston, Lily, and Ember; mother, Lorraine Heidelberg; three siblings: Dick (Sue) Heidelberg, Jim (Jelan) Heidelberg, and Barb Heidelberg; brother in-law, Jim Bleck; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Heidelberg; and his parents in-law: Bill and Hilda Bleck. A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00-3:00 PM on Friday, June 16, 2023, at First Lutheran Church, 1206 Whitehall Rd, Muskegon, MI 49445 .
