Mr. Lawrence J. "Larry" VanHaitsma's Obituary
Mr. Lawrence J. (Larry) VanHaitsma, 63, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 12, 2023, in Muskegon, MI. Larry was born March 27, 1960, in Byron Center, Mi to Larry and Paulette (Berends) VanHaitsma and later moved to the Muskegon area in 2004.
Larry was the owner of Wolverine Haulers, LLC. He was a “HUGE” University of Michigan fan and also the Muskegon Big Reds. Larry lived life to the fullest. “Go Big or Go Home” was always his motto. Larry is preceded in death by his mother, Paulette Berends. He is survived by his longtime companion, Denise Kanaar, by his father, Larry (Sally) VanHaitsma; siblings: Tim (Tammy) VanHaitsma, Joe (Jody) VanHaitsma, Lindsay (Roger) Young; Children: Lance (Veronica) VanHaitsma, Taryn (Zack) Krieger, Trent (Brigitte) VanHaitsma; Grandchildren: Gunner and Zeplynn VanHaitsma and many loved step brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews. Also, Larry loved his lifelong friend, Damir Vidinlic and partner Aaron Allard like a son.
He was a very kind and generous soul with many family and friends who loved him and will miss him deeply. Rest in Peace “Pork”.
