Lawrence "Ed" Manasco's Obituary
Lawrence “Ed” Manasco, age 80, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023. He was born June 7, 1943 in Mobile, Alabama to Noel and Clarice (Langdon) Manasco. Ed worked for Sparta Foundry for 33 years prior to his retirement. He also worked three years for Great Lakes Energy after retiring. Ed was baptized and attended Snow Bible Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed his garden. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. On May 8, 1982, he married Susie M. Deems in Kent City, MI and she survives him along with four children: Debra, Duane, Daryl (Kim), and Brent (Rhonda); six grandchildren: Amanda, Kyle, Morgan, Brandon (Mercedes), Blake, and Autumn; and was blessed with several great-grandchildren. Ed was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Lloyd; son-in-law, John; grandson, John Jr.; two brothers and two sisters. SERVICES for Ed will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 23, 2023 at The Ravenna Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 3570 Thomas St., Ravenna, MI 49451 (231) 853-6511 with Pastor John Kaufield officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in South Casnovia Cemetery.
