Lawrence William Stebbins, age 89, of Spring Lake passed away Saturday, September 12, 2020. He was born June 25, 1931, in South Boardman, MI to William and Anna (Butler) Stebbins, and married Marilyn Herber on July 17, 1954, in Po Read Obituary
Larry and I spent many happy years living together. Larry was as near as a brother has I had. I do not remember any disagreements with him. Your dad and I used to hitch hike from East Lansing to Kalkaska to get home from school. My girl friend at the time introduced your dad to your mother. So many wonderful years from high school on. So many memories studying together out in Ed Snyder's shack. I am so sorry for your loss. He will be missed!

We were so sorry to hear about Larry's passing. Larry, as the County Extension Director of Ottawa County, was a mentor to me, along with Bob Van Klompenburg, as a pest management field assistant in 1977. It was because of Larry and Bob that I joined MSU Extension a few months after finishing my field scout position, and spent 36 years in various roles with MSUE. I have now been retired from MSUE for over 10 years, but will always have fond memories of Larry and Marilyn, and the staff at the Ottawa Extension office. Larry will be greatly missed and we send our sincere sympathy to the family.

I'm so sorry to hear about Lawrence's death. I always enjoyed visited with he and Marilyn. One year my husband and I were a MSU football game. We had some time so we went to the Union building for lunch. I looked across the room and to my surprise, there were your parents. I went over and we had a nice visit.
I'm sorry to say that I won't be able to attend his funeral. My uncle also passed and the service for him is at the same time.
