Lawrence A. Weaver Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Lawrence Allen “Bo” Weaver, Sr., age 91, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 in Fremont, Michigan. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on December 3, 1924 to Herbert and Georgia (Shaul) Weaver. Lawrence was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during WWII. He married the former Catherine G. Walter on May 27, 1944 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Lawrence was employed by Continental Motors before his retirement in 1986. After retirement, Bo and Catherine moved to Devils Hole, Newaygo, Michigan where he resided until his death. Lawrence loved his family and enjoyed hunting, playing cards, reading cowboy books, a strong Highball, and fishing. He is survived by four children, John (Vicki) Weaver, Helen (Larry) Swarts, David (Michelle) Weaver, and Lawrence A. Weaver, Jr.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jean Weaver and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife and soul mate of 59 years, Catherine Weaver; one brother, Don Weaver; one sister, Eva Peterson and brother-in-law, James Peterson. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Thursday, October 13, 2016 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., 231-726-5210 with Rev. John Brown officiating. VISITATION will be from 5-7 PM Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIALS may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
