Lawrence W. Gauthier's Obituary
Mr. Lawrence W. Gauthier, age 82, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011. He was born May 1, 1929 in Muskegon to Walter A. and Madalyn L. (Gould) Gauthier. Larry served in the U.S. Navy 1946-1948 and the Naval Reserve until 1953. He was a self-employed Independent Insurance Agent and co-owned the Muskegon Barber and Beauty Supply. He had previously been employed as a salesperson for both Sears and Matson Oldsmobile. He married the former Charlotte A. Field in Indiana on November 12, 1955. Larry enjoyed golfing, hunting, gardening, building and going to the casino. He especially enjoyed time spent with his family, which include: his wife, Charlotte; his children, Laura (Rob) Carpenter, Marcia (Terry) Reiss and Thomas Gauthier; grandchildren, Steven and Ryan Carpenter and Kimberly Gauthier; 2 brothers, Raymond (Janice) Gauthier and Dale (Carol) Gauthier; 2 sisters, Louise Christensen and Alice J. Kennedy; sister-in-law, Marilyn Field; also many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Norma Tufts and brothers, Donald, Vernon and James Gauthier; daughter-in-law Lori Gauthier on October 15, 2011; brothers-in-law, Jim Kennedy, Ted Christensen, Don Tufts and sister-in-law, Gloria Gauthier. A PRIVATE MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held. He will be laid to rest in Sullivan Twp. Cemetery.
