Leah Marie Wood's Obituary
Mrs. Leah Marie Wood, age 50, passed away Monday evening, March 28, 2005, at her home. She was born on December 18, 1954 in Grand Rapids, MI to Niles and Erma (Wilson) Moore. Leah had been a resident of the Muskegon area for the past 12 years, and prior to that lived in Grand Rapids and Saginaw. She enjoyed playing Mahjong Games, collecting Native American Art, and loved her dogs. In November of 1974, she married Richard E. Wood and he preceded her in death in 1995. She is survived by 3 sons, Jason Moore, Westley (Susan) Wood, Richard Wood Jr.; 5 grandchildren, Marissa, Amarra, Alexander, Arick, Logan; 3 half-sisters, Jeanie, Julie, Jamie; special nieces and nephews; best friend, Elaine Anderson; and many close friends that have touched her life. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; 2 sisters, Terri Bond, Judy Berry; and half-brother, David Kubat. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 11AM Thursday with VISITATION 1 hour prior to the service at The Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Ave., 231-726-5210, with Rev. Fr. Michael Olson officiating.
