Leda Katherine Kennert's Obituary
Mrs. Leda Katherine Kennert, age 82, passed away Saturday evening, August 27, 2011. She was born March 30, 1929 in Muskegon to Alek and Katarina (Kerpner) Kushner. Mrs. Kennert worked for Brenneman Inc. for 16 years. She was an avid Tiger’s Fan, enjoyed crocheting, and loved baking pies. On May 10, 1947 she married Henry Jacob Kennert, Jr. in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on November 10, 1978. SURVIVORS include 2 sons, Robert (Susan) Kennert of Fruitport, Ronald (Jeana) Kennert of Muskegon; 2 daughters, Linda (Robert) Peterson of North Muskegon, Kathy (James) Elam, Jr of Muskegon; son-in-law, Joseph Goryl of Norton Shores.; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Irene Anderson of Norton Shores. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Arlene Goryl in November of 2010 and by her brother, John Kushner. SERVICES will be 3:00 PM Tuesday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 with Pastor Hal Pearson officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIALS to the Johnson Family Center for Cancer will be appreciated.
