Lee (Gilbert) Wile's Obituary
Mrs. “Lee” (Gilbert) Wile, age 93, died Saturday, January 15, 2005, at Hackley Hospital. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI on June 18, 1911 to Bernard & Emma (Maicehele) Borgman and moved to the Muskegon area in the early 1940’s. Following retirement she resided in Zephyrhills, FL from 1975 to 1999, at which time she moved back to Muskegon. During the summer months of those Florida years (1980 -1995) she resided at the Spring Lake Trailer Park. “Lee” was a 58 year member of Lakeside United Methodist Church; and loved camping, fishing and the out-of-doors. On March 29, 1929 she married Alfred Gilbert and he preceded her in death on September 10, 1977. She then married Arthur Wile on July 10, 1980 and he preceded her in death on May 17, 1983. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, George & Norman Borgman and by 2 step-grandchildren, David Johnson and Lauren Wile. SURVIVORS include her daughter and son-in-law, Karen & Thomas Brady of Roosevelt Park; 2 grandchildren, Andrea Brady of Grandville, MI and Matthew Brady of Royal Oak, MI; 4 step-children, Lois (Howard) Johnson of Mishawaka, IN, Kay (Mike) Craw of Berrien Springs, MI, Glen (Lova) Wile of Texarkana, TX and Larry (Rose) Wile of Vicksburg, MI; 12 step-grandchildren; 21 step-great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Loraine Culver of Rochester Hills, MI and 2 nephews, Bruce (Diana) Culver of Santa Barbara, CA and Roger (MaryKay) Culver of Rochester Hills, MI. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at Lakeside United Methodist Church with Pastor Gil Boersma officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION with Lee’s family will be 2-4 & 7-9PM Tuesday at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441, 231-759-8565.
