Lee E. Nichols' Obituary
Mr. Lee Nichols, age 83, of Spring Lake passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at North Ottawa Community Hospital. He was born January 22, 1930 in Grand Junction, CO to Francis and Helen (McDowell) Nichols.
He served his county in the US Army and also was a fireman on a US Naval Base in El Centro, CA. He enjoyed crafting and working with his hands. He also had a passion for vintage cars and traveling.
On November 15, 1956 he married the former Mary Rader in California and she preceded him in death on May 22, 2007. He is survived by 2 daughters, Debra (Chase) Kamhout of Muskegon and Le Anna (Allen) Richards of Damascus, Maryland; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Georgia Drake and Judith Schuler; 1 brother, Paul Nichols; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Samuel and Frank Nichols; grandson, Jeffrey Nichols; 7 brothers; 2 sisters.
