Lee J. Schaab's Obituary
Mr. Lee J. Schaab, age 96, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 in Muskegon. He was born on June 23, 1924 to John and Bertha (Schlafender) Schaab in E. Lake, MI. He graduated from N. Muskegon high school, upon graduation he enlisted into the service. He was a proud veteran serving his country in the U.S. Army. He was a faithful servant of Our Lord and Savior and was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Lee was a dedicated employee of Fitzpatrick Electric where he worked as a salesman from 1947-1991. On April 6, 1951, he married the former Shirley Hart in Muskegon, MI. Together they cherished 63 years of marriage full of love and laughter. She preceded him in death on March 9, 2014. He enjoyed doing restoration work on the Milwaukee Clipper and also at the Hackley & Hume Historic Site. Lee will truly be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his son, David Schaab of Fredrick, MD; one grandson, Kyle Schaab; and daughter-in-law, Renee Schaab. He is preceded in death by his parents; and son, Mark Alan Schaab. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3225 Roosevelt Rd., Muskegon, MI 49441. A visitation with the family will be held one-hour prior at church. He will be laid to rest with his wife at Lakeside Cemetery.
