Leo L. Bordeaux Sr.'s Obituary
Leo L. Bordeaux, Sr., age 90, passed away Friday, March 26, 2021 in Muskegon. He was born on February 14, 1931 in Muskegon to Romuald and Irene (Smith) Bordeaux, Sr. and was a life resident of the area. Leo was a Veteran of the US Army, and served during the Korean War. He worked 42 years at Teledyne Continental Motors before retiring in 1994. Leo was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, and also belonged to the Fruitport Eagles, VFW 446 and 8846, and the Sons of Norway. He enjoyed camping, and spending time with his family, no matter the occasion. In August of 1952, he married the former Ruth Moore and she preceded him in death on November 15, 1999. SURVIVORS include four children, Leo (Diana) Bordeaux, Jr., Cindy Bordeaux, Sandra (Peter) Marshall, and Tina Rogers; 11 grandchildren, Dean Bordeaux, Kaitlyn Bordeaux, Alexa Bordeaux, Heather (Mitchell) Swanson, Holly Penny, Jamie Penny, Madeline Rogers, Daniel Rogers, Jr, Joseph Rogers, Eric Marshall and Andrea Marshall; great granddaughter, Eloise Swanson; and two brothers, Robert (Dianna) Bordeaux, and Thomas (Sharon) Bordeaux; sister-in-law, Betty Hodge; and special furry side-kick, Brittney. Leo was also preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Romuald Bordeaux, Jr., Richard Bordeaux, Sr., Edwin Bordeaux; great grandson, Henrik Swanson; and grandson, Alexander Marshall. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 2PM Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Olson presiding. VISITATION with the family will be 5-8 PM Tuesday at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231) 798-1100 with the Rosary prayed at 7:30 PM. Visitation will also be 1 hour prior to the service at church, from 1-2 PM Wednesday. Burial with full military honors will take place at 11 AM Thursday, April 1, 2021 Laketon Twp. Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to VFW 8846 will be appreciated.
