Mr. Leo Glenn Strandberg's Obituary
Mr. Leo Glenn Strandberg, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2013. He was born March 4, 1926 in Muskegon to Albert and Ella Mae (Pike) Strandberg. Leo served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. On April 18, 1944 he married Nina Mae Rice and she preceded him in 2004. Leo was a member of the Salvation Army Muskegon Corps, leader of Golden Ages and League of Mercy. He also was a member of VFW post 3734 Polar Bear Post. Leo is SURVIVED by his children, Carol (Gerald) Strayer, Steve (Debbie) Strandberg, Dixie (Jim) Honeycutt, David Strandberg, Roger (Lynne) Strandberg; grandchildren, Melissa Robillard, Mylinda (Brandon) Johnivan; sister, Irma (Donley) Putney. He was PRECEDED in death by his parents; wife; 2 sisters; 5 brothers. The FUNERAL service is 11 AM Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at The Salvation Army, 1221 Shonat St., Muskegon, MI 49442, (231) 773-3284 with Captain Daniel Sawka officiating. The VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Salvation Army Muskegon Corps or Harbor Hospice.
