Mr. Leo H. Williams' Obituary
Mr. Leo H. Williams, 98, passed away early Monday morning, September 19, 2016 in Muskegon. He was born June 10, 1918 to Fred and Josephine (Carney) Williams in Cadillac, and lived most of his life in the Muskegon area. Leo was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran and was employed at Anaconda for 41 years before retiring. Following retirement, he traveled extensively throughout Europe and the Americas until well into his eighties. He had been a lifetime member of the Muskegon Elks, and had also belonged to the Moose Lodge #491. Leo was married to the former Carmen Knapp, and she preceded him in death in April of 1970. SURVIVORS include his niece, Lisa (Chet) Kordecki; 1 great-niece, Emily (Jake) Stearley; and a great-great-niece, Vayda Stearley. He was also preceded in death by a nephew, Patrick Williams; 2 brothers, David and Eldon Williams; and 1 sister, Jayne Rollin. A graveside service with military rites will take place on Wednesday, October 12, at 1:00 PM at Lakeside Cemetery. You may visit the family’s online guestbook at www.sytsemafh.com.
