Leona F. Uganski's Obituary
Mrs. Leona F. Uganski, age 88, died Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Seminole Shores. She was born on August 24, 1919 in Claybanks, Twp., Oceana County to Edward and Anna (Greinke) Schmiedeknecht, and moved to the Muskegon area in 1941. Mrs. Uganski was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and belonged to the Lithuanian Club. In April of 1939, she married John M. Uganski, and he preceded her in death on March 22, 2006. SURVIVORS include 2 sons, Gerald (Teresa) Uganski of Wellsville, NY, Ronald (Joyce) Uganski of Muskegon; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ervin (Vi) Schmiedeknecht of Whitehall and Donald Schmiedeknecht of Claybanks Twp.. Mrs. Uganski was also preceded in death by son and daughter-in-law, John and Sandy Uganski; sister, Lois Herbert; and Godchild, Linda (Herbert) Schaub. SERVICES will be 11 AM Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church (3235 Roosevelt Rd.) with Rev. Dennis L. Lassanske officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 10-11 AM. Burial will take place in Norton Cemetery.
