I have known Leona for over 60 years and she was like a second mom to me. She and Gary were very close friends to my parents, Doris and Frank Veurink.
We are going to miss her very much. I'm so sorry we are so far away and can't make it to celebrate her life.

Leona was a wonderful friend to our Grandmother and Grandfather, Doris & Frank Veurink. We take heart in the fact they are now all together in heaven! Leona always did such wonderful crafting projects. We have some of them around our home. We always considered her and Gary an extension of our family. Mom VanDonkelaar was a very special lady in our lives. We grew to love her dearly after being intoduced to her and Gary through their oldest son Dale while we lived in Greenville, S.C. over 35 years ago. What a blessing she and her husband has been to all of us through the years of knowing them in a very special way. It was fitting for us to call them Mom and Dad VanDonkelaar and a privilege to have that honor in after their son Dale passed away 11 years ago.
