Leonard Farber's Obituary
Mr. Leonard Farber, age 79, passed away Friday evening, December 3, 2010, at a local hospital. Leonard was born February 1, 1931, to Francis Floyd Farber and Winifred VanderWest. On February 26, 1949, Len married the former Nellie Mae Rolison in Muskegon and she survives him. He served his Country in The National Guard. Leonard worked as a machinist for Johnson Products and Sealed Power for 37 years prior to his retirement in 1987. Len loved hunting , fishing, and tinkering around with stuff. He was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be missed. He is SURVIVED by his wife of 61 years, Nellie; 6 children, Terry Lee Farber of Muskegon, Pamela Sue (Claude) Tappan of Grand Rapids, Dan Alan (Marva Rae) Farber of Muskegon, Mark Brian (Jeanette) Farber of Muskegon, Shirlee Ann (Dusty) Dodge of Muskegon, and Russ Len (Paula) Farber of Muskegon; 21 grandchildren; 2 brothers, George Albert (Eva) Farber of Rothbury and Donald (Betty) Farber of Muskegon; 2 sisters, Marlene Murray of Muskegon and Lorene (Wayne) McPheron of Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Nancy Farber; 1 brother, Floyd Farber; 2 sisters, Catherine Long and Janice Strickler; and daughter-in-law, LeAnn Farber. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11 AM Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at the Wolf Lake Baptist Church, 1070 S. Wolf Lake Rd., with Rev. Burt C. Wachter officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service (10-11 AM) at the church. In lieu of flowers, MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the Wolf Lake Baptist Church.
