Leonard G. Green's Obituary
Mr. Leonard George Green, age 75, of Roosevelt Park, formerly of Fullerton, California, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at his home. He was born in Muskegon on March 27, 1942 to Clarence and Marjorie (Wilde) Green. Len was a veteran of the United States Marines and was stationed in California and Laos during the Vietnam War. While in California, he met and fell in love with Molly McAllister, and they were married on February 14, 1963. They resided in Fullerton, California until moving to Muskegon in 2001. Len had been employed as an engineer for Boeing Aerospace prior to his retirement in 2001. He was socially involved in the community of Fullerton, and he, along with his wife, co-chaired several organizations. Len enjoyed sports, especially basketball, football, and race cars. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Muskegon. Most importantly, Len loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s activities and games. Len will be missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Molly; son, Lee Green; daughters-in-law, Krista (Kevin) Wolter and Amy Green; four grandchildren, Brittni, Derek, Hayli, and Sammy; siblings, Bill (Holly) Green, Tommy (Jill) Green, and Sally (Karen) DeWick; step-siblings, Ronald (Sandy) Holmes, Jayne (Al) Webster, Nancy (Mark) Hansen, and Ric (Gail) Holmes; half-sister, Debbie (Mike) Yates; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Green. According to Len’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held in June.
