Leonard A. Holmberg's Obituary
Mr. Leonard Holmberg, age 81, died Tuesday morning, October 25, 2005, at Mercy Hospital. He was born August 6, 1924, in Illinois, and had resided in the Muskegon area the past 35 years, moving here from Elgin, IL. Mr. Holmberg had been the proprietor of various restaurants during his career and was a member of Oak-Crest Church of God. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II. SURVIVORS include 6 children, George (Sally) Holmberg of Delavan, WI, Doris Kniskern of Streamwood, IL, Janet Henning of Elgin, IL, Diana (Richard) Strauss of Montague, Leonard Holmberg of Santa Rosa, CA and Robert Holmberg of Montague; Diana Holmberg, mother of four grandchildren, and many more grand and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Lester, William, and Donald; and 2 sisters, Edna and Carol. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 1 PM Friday at Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Avenue, 231-726-5210.
