Leon C. Doerr's Obituary
Mr. Leon C. Doerr, age 80, passed away Saturday morning, December 31, 2011. He was born May 3, 1931 in Muskegon to Leon and Stella (Pecak) Doerr. Leon served his country in the Army as a CPL during the Korean War from 1952 to 1953. He was retired from Smith Meat Packing and was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. On May 26, 1951 he married the former Teresa Szczesny in Muskegon and she survives him along with 5 children, Lawrence (Lori) Doerr, Michael (Cindy) Doerr, Timothy Doerr, Janet Doerr, Susan (Gary) Tackman; his grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Parker, Charles, Molly, and Alison; and his sister, Arlene (Lynn) Fechner. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Steven. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will take place 11:00 AM Thursday, January 5, 2012 at St. Michael Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Thomas J. Brown presiding. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday at
