Leora Marie Anderson's Obituary
Mrs. Leora Marie Anderson, age 85, passed away on Mother’s Day, May 11, 2008, in Muskegon. She was born January 22, 1923 in Bailey, MI to Lester and Kathryn (Bryan) Petersen and has resided in the Muskegon area since the age of ten. Leora had been employed as a cashier at Kroger Food Store for 15 years and previously at Federal Department Store. Leora loved to read and knit, owned her own Knitting Shop; and went to arts and crafts shows for years. On October 10, 1941 she married Ervin S. “Andy” Anderson and he survives her along with 2 children, Pamala Babbitt and Bruce (Valerie) Anderson, both of Muskegon; 4 grandchildren, Heidi (Steve) Adams, Eddie (Kendra) Babbitt, Jr., Scott (Kelly) Anderson and Brent Anderson, all of Muskegon; 10 great-grandchildren, Jordan, Kip, Broc and Logan Babbitt, Kaleb Buckner, Lindsay and Collin Adams, Nicholas, Kathryn and Abigail Anderson and by 1 sister, Audrey Cavanaugh of Muskegon. She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Ed Babbitt. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held 3PM Wednesday at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jerry Worrel officiating.
