LeRoy G. Kreigh Sr.'s Obituary
LeRoy Gerald Kreigh Sr, age 83, passed away in Muskegon, MI, on Thursday, March 9, 2023. LeRoy was born in Muskegon on April 11, 1939, to his parents Gerald and Dorothy (Stiver) Kreigh. On August 16, 1962, he married the former Betty Lou Nill, and they spent almost 38 wonderful years together until she preceded him in death in July of 2000. In 2007, he married the former Margaret Martin, with whom he enjoyed the last 15 years. LeRoy worked for 50 years at CWC Textron in Muskegon, retiring in 1997. A proud veteran, LeRoy served in the U.S. army, and then for 21 years in the National Guard, and was a member of American Legion Post #09. When he was younger he enjoyed camping and deer hunting, but more recently he enjoyed spending time playing bingo and going to the casino with Margaret. His favorite pastime was always spending time with his family. He will be lovingly remembered by his second wife, Margaret; four children: Martha (Chris) Stratton, Teresa Monroe, Nancy Kreigh, and LeRoy (Amy) Kreigh II; five step children: Michael (Paula) Veale, Patricia (Kenny) Shouse, Elizabeth (Stan) Harris, Charles (Jan) Veale, and Rebekah (James) Freeland; six grandchildren: Jennifer (Joseph Clapp) Kreigh, Avery Sroka, Kameron Kreigh, Samantha Sroka, Sydney Kreigh, and Logen Kreigh; two great-grandchildren: Jemma Clapp and Anastasia Tracey; many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters: Marie Ramos, Lizzie Knutzen, and Geraldine Finch; and three beloved dogs: Baby Girl, Bam Bam, and Lucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Dorothy Kreigh; first wife, Betty Lou Kreigh; an infant son, Henry Kreigh; granddaughter, Samantha Lynn Monroe; and sister, Lucille Margetson. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be taking place for LeRoy at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Fellowship Reformed Church in Muskegon, with VISITATION taking place an hour prior.
