I had the pleasure of assisting Roy in the purchase of land from the State of Arizona for Desert Hills Lutheran Church. The church was leasing the land that they had built on and Roy was determined to have the church purchase the land. After a lot of his work the purchase was accomplished. It was a privilege to work with Roy. Through the process he became a very good friend. Roy was a gentlemen in every way. Barbara and I send our prayers to the family during this time. As a member of his Midland church, I had the privilege of knowing three generations of the Mastic family, including Roy and his first wife, his mother, and his children. To all, Roy was devoted to all and so dedicated to his faith. While he took his work, faith, and family seriously, he also knew how to play. One of my fondest memories is of watching Roy play softball with his sons and later watching his sons and grandsons play

I hope this is not a duplicate. My condolences to the extended Mastic family. I become part of the family when I married Roy’s sister, Marjorie. Leroy will be missed by all. He had a rewarding career at Dow but more important he was a wonderful father and grandfather and will be missed by so many
