Leroy Pruett's Obituary
Mr. Leroy Pruett, age 79, suddenly went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 9, 2004 in Lehigh Acres, Florida. He was born May 7, 1924 in Senath, Missouri to Solomon Aussie & Ruth (Baugus) Pruett. Mr. Pruett was in the Merchant Marines and was employed as an electrician at Teledyne Continental Motors for 31 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Evanston Ave. Baptist Church, and enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting. He and his wife, Mildred McGrew of 54 years, wintered in Florida for the past 22 years. SURVIVORS include his wife, Mildred; daughter, Pam (Arvid) Fansler of Grand Rapids; granddaughters, Kara and Kaley Fansler; step-grandsons, Sid (Jeanie), Shane (Carrie), Chad (Jennifer) Fansler; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Laverne (Martin) Davenport of Senath, Missouri, Jackie Gipson of Batesville, Arkansas; brother, Jerry Pruett of Batesville, Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Pruett on December 11, 1978. SERVICES will be 3:00 PM Thursday at Evanston Ave. Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Oberg officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday at
