LeRoy A. Barker's Obituary
Mr. LeRoy A. Barker, age 79, passed away Thursday, June 02, 2011 at his home. He was born in Traverse City, MI on October 31, 1931 to August and Florence (Freeman) Barker and came to Muskegon in 1944. He married the former Helen J. Diepen in Muskegon on August 15, 1952. She preceded him in death on August 9, 1987. Mr. Barker owned and operated, Barker Construction Co. He was a past member of the Muskegon Hts. Eagles. He is survived by 3 sons, August L. (Deb) Barker, Daniel A. Barker and Christopher L. Barker all of Muskegon; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his brother, George Barker. A MEMORIAL OPEN HOUSE will be held at his home on Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. at 1657 E. Summit Ave. He will be laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery.
