LeRoy "Bud" Weaver's Obituary
Mr. LeRoy L. “Bud” Weaver, age 80, passed away early Tuesday morning, February 8, 2011 in Muskegon. Bud was born November 19, 1930 to Melvin and Rose L. (Eller) Weaver in Muskegon, and was a life resident. He was a residential builder for most of his life, and also spent 17 years as the property manager for R.H. J. Management Company. Bud attended Beacon Light Community Church, was a member of the Port City Puddle Jumpers Car Club, and was a dedicated volunteer at Mercy Hospital. On September 22, 1950 he married Maude L. Newmyer, and she survives him along with 2 children, Douglas L. (Lynn) Weaver of Grand Rapids, Joan E. (Stephen) Oegema of Norton Shores; 5 grandchildren, Nicholas (fiancée Ann VanDyken) Weaver, Adam Weaver, Stephanie (friend Selwyn Toa) Oegema, Phiiip Oegema, Melissa (Jason) Obenauf; 1 great-grandson, Nash Weaver; 1 brother, James (Joan) Weaver of Muskegon; 2 sisters, Lois (Dale) Elliott, Patricia (friend, Ronald Stout) Daily, both of Muskegon. VISITATION will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. (231) 726-5210. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Bud may be made to the Beacon Light Community Church. At his request, there will be no funeral service.
