My family rented a cottage in Winnetaska every summer until I was 9 years old. Leslie, her little brother Greg and I were playmates for the two weeks her family spent with her grandparents, the Glotfelty's. Mrs. Maxwell and my Mom spent lots of time sitting together on the beach watching us play. We had so much fun on the beach, upstairs in the Glotfelty's home. It was very idyllic.
My family stopped going to Michigan in 1969, but Leslie and I stayed in touch as pen pals through high school. We lost touch in college.
I'm sad to hear that she passed away so young. Though many years too late, my sympathy to the family is sincere.
