Lester V. Follett's Obituary
Mr. Lester V. Follett, age 80, died Wednesday morning, May 10, 2006. He was born June 11, 1925 in Bailey, MI to Pirl and Louise (Gruse) Follett and had lived all of his life in the Muskegon area. Mr. Follett was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran of WWII in the Pacific. He worked for Challenge Machinery in Grand Haven for 21 years before retiring in 1989. Mr. Follett was a member of the VFW Post 3195 and enjoyed hunting. On August 10, 1946, he married the former Ethel L. Smith in Bailey, MI and she preceded him in death on August 18, 1989. SURVIVORS include 8 children, Gary (Marcia) Follett of Muskegon, Earl (Darlene) Follett of Venice, FL, Jodie Follett of Palaski, TN, Richard (Marge) Follett of Coopersville, MI, Vicki Follett of Muskegon, Ronald (Christine) Follett of Fruitport, Gregory Follett and Rodney Follett both of Muskegon; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Vern (Mary) Follett of Holton, MI, Donald (Linda) Follett of Hardy Pond, MI; 2 sisters, Alta Mae (Melvin) Rollston of Sparta, MI, Lucille Hall of Bailey, MI; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kurt Follett; 6 brothers; and 1 sister. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Saturday at
