Lewis Charles Rousell's Obituary
Lewis C. Rousell, age 92, passed away peacefully at The Leila and Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. He was born on January 3, 1933, to Charles and Ruth (Heuser) Rousell, in Muskegon, MI. Lewis enlisted in the Navy, served his county with pride, and was honorably discharged. On November 21, 1952, he married the love of his life, Juanita L. Huron in Muskegon, MI. He was an active member at Lake Harbor United Methodist Church and a member of Canteen 450 where he served multiple agencies throughout Muskegon and Ottawa Counties. Lewis was someone who was known for his hard work with his hands and was always there to help family out and was loved by all who knew him. He enjoyed golfing and group camping throughout the state of Michigan with the “happy wanderers.” He is survived in death by his daughters: Kathy (Ken) Luckett, Linda Rousell; 6 grandchildren: Chad (Jennifer) Pallasch, Kyle (Karen) Pallasch, Brittany Luckett, Brandi (Matt Yaros) Minarovic Cameron (Jess) Minarovic, Colleen (Travis Newton) Minarovic; 8 great grandchildren: Sage, Chase, Gabreil, Mikayla, Eli, Ava, Aaron, Nora; brother, Mark Rousell; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Rousell, parents, Charles and Ruth Rousell; brother, Paul Rousell, and sister; Joann McDowell. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Harbor Hospice, Lake Harbor United Methodist Church, and Canteen 450. The compassion and care that the staff at Comfort Keepers provided to Lewis over the last 4 years is greatly appreciated. VISITATION will be Monday, June 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Lake Harbor United Methodist Church, 4861 S. Henry St., Muskegon, MI. 49441.
